Christmas Boxes
I feel the end product of this project from my team was brilliant. It got multiple special mentions from tutors. However, I found it a massive struggle and it really pushed me, content wise. It was nice to work in a team for the first time. My team bounced ideas off of each other very well and compromised to create our boxes.
Introduction to the Team Workshop

Initial Inspiration Mood Board

I analysed two William Blake poems to get an impression of the glum Victorian class system that we wanted to convey.

These are my initial ideas on what our room-themed boxes could look like. We all did some for each of the boxes and came together to collaborate ideas.

I was given Clara's bedroom as my box. This was my sketch before I started making it. It contains ideas from everyone in the team's sketches. I used it as a blue-print when making my box.

I made my furniture out of foam boad and painted it with mainly acrylic paint, but also used ink to get the effect of aged wood on the door.

My Final Box

I made a Nutcracker-Rat King to top our box tower as we were wrapping it with my Christmas Tree drawing to look like an actual Christmas Tree.

This was my Christmas Tree tile that I drew so we could wrap our boxes in a repeat pattern to look like a tree as we were stacking our boxes for the presentation. I digitally drew this on Procreate. This was a new thing to me but I'm immensely happy with it and the result it gave to the project.
